About

This tableau project was conducted using shopping behavior dataset from Kaggle. This dataset contains Customer ID, Age, Gender, Item Purchased, Category, Purchase Amount (USD), Location, Size, Color, Season, Review Rating, Subscription Status, Shipping Type, Discount Applied, Promo Code Use, Previous Purchases, Payment Method, Frequency of Purchases columns. This project aimed to glean insightful information about trends in shopping behavior that can help with business strategies and stock of items sold to meet customer needs.

Insights

  1. Item Purchased by Season
  2. Stacked bar chart to visualize the number of items purchased based on season. This visualization can help businesses with stock of each item for a specific season.

  3. Item Color by Season
  4. Stacked bar chart to visualize the amount of color purchased based on season. This visualization can help the producer to create product based on the most sold item color for a specific season.

  5. Average Purchase Amount Per Location
  6. Line chart visualized average purchase amount per location. Alaska had the highest purchase amount. This visualization can help businesses enhance marketing strategies to get better sales for other locations and to evaluate locations with the lowest purchase amount.

  7. Frequency Purchases Per Item
  8. Stacked bar chart visualized frequency purchases per item. The frequencies are annually, bi-weekly, every 3 months, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and weekly. This frequency can help businesses to enhance sales to customers and do strategies marketing.

  9. Percentage of Payment Methods
  10. The table showed about percentage of each payment method. 6 methods have similar percentages. This table can help businesses to provide methods based on customer needs.

  11. Percentage of Discount Applied
  12. The discount applied table showed the percentage of using discount was lower than not using. This data can be used for businesses to create marketing strategies about this discount data.
